• Removal of unwanted: noise, clicks, mouth clicks (if possible). Cutting and aligning tracks, timing correction (within reason). Leveling the volume balance of audio tracks.
• Instrumental processing: EQ, compression, work with group buses, parallel compression, saturation, limiting, etc. (This processing is only possible if you provide the Track Out / stems of your instrumental arrangement).
• Vocal processing: EQ, compression, work with group buses, parallel compression, saturation, limiting, spatial processing, etc.
• Auto-tuning of vocals (At client's request)
• Manual vocal correction (At client's request for an additional fee)
• Tricks/effects: filters, distortion, reverse, pitch, delay, reverb, vocal/instrumental cutting, panning work, FX sounds, etc.
• Mastering: the final stage of work on the project. Polishing the mix, controlling the frequency balance, ensuring the track's translatability on various devices, adjusting the sound to generally accepted world standards, working on loudness according to RMS, LUFS, True Peak metrics.

1. Record the composition

Arrange and organize everything. Turn off all effects on vocal tracks. Save the project as separate tracks (multitrack, track out)* from the zero position (from the very beginning). All audio files must be labeled!

Track-out, multitrack - this is the project with stems, meaning each instrument or sound is rendered into separate audio tracks from 0 seconds of the track/project (melody, bass, kick, snare, hi-hats, main vocal, backing vocal, ad-libs, etc.). If the instrumental is not provided as stems, it can be sent in WAV/MP3 format (as one audio file). This approach allows work in any DAW.

2. Export

Export vocals in MONO WAVE 32-bit, 44.1kHz format. If there was an intention for doubles or backing vocals to be panned in stereo, this must be indicated in the technical assignment or the track should be labeled properly (Back L, Back R, Back L 50%, Back R 50%, etc.). Export the instrumental in STEREO WAVE 32-bit, 44.1kHz format. (All audio files must be labeled!)

3. Loudness

Maintain the peak loudness of vocals and instruments; it should not exceed 0dB on the master bus. Have headroom of at least -0.5dB, but preferably less than -6dB.

4. Key

Inform us of the key in which you recorded your track with Live Auto-Tune. Also, if you know the BPM (tempo) of your track, please inform us about that too.

5. Create an archive

Check your archive before sending. The folder/archive should contain a demo of the track, the instrumental, and the vocals. (All audio files must be labeled). Upload it to one of the file-sharing services (Yandex Disk, Dropmefiles, etc.) and send the download link, or send the archive directly via Telegram, or send the archive via Email (our pigeon mail).

6. Technical Assignment (TZ)

Write your wishes, if any. Provide timecodes for sections that need to be copied (chorus, bridge, etc.). Provide timecodes for moments where a specific effect or sound needs to be inserted (add reverb, distortion, or add a gunshot sound, car sound, etc.). If there is no specific technical assignment or requests, the work on the track will be carried out at our discretion.

7. Reference

Attach a reference track to the technical assignment, if available. A very common problem is that people don't understand what a reference is versus their favorite sound/track. The reference should be similar in style, genre, sound, dynamics, and possibly even in vocals and their performance.
